Copyright and License Statement
The Bangladesh Journal of Advanced Clinical Research (BJACR) is dedicated to protecting the intellectual property rights of authors while ensuring the widest possible dissemination of scholarly work through its open-access publishing model. The policies outlined below establish the framework for copyright ownership, licensing terms, author rights, and user responsibilities.
Copyright Policy
Author Retains Copyright
- Ownership: Authors maintain full copyright over their work after acceptance. This means authors preserve the legal rights to use, reproduce, adapt, and distribute their articles in any medium or format.
- Unrestricted Use by Authors: Authors may incorporate their published work into future research, books, teaching materials, or conference presentations without requiring permission from BJACR.
- Legal Protection: Retention of copyright ensures authors remain the primary rights holders, safeguarding their intellectual contributions against unauthorized exploitation.
Grant of License to BJACR
- Non-Exclusive License: Upon submission, authors grant BJACR a non-exclusive, irrevocable, worldwide license to:
- Publish the article in both digital and print formats.
- Archive the work in permanent repositories.
- Disseminate the article through indexing services, databases, and partner platforms.
- Purpose of License: This license enables BJACR to fulfill its role as a global distributor of knowledge while allowing authors to retain copyright and reuse rights.
Author Rights Post-Publication
- Self-Archiving (Green Open Access): Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit their accepted manuscripts or final published versions in:
- Institutional repositories.
- Academic social networks (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu).
- Personal or departmental websites.
- Attribution Requirement: Deposited versions must include proper citation to BJACR’s version of record with an active DOI link.
- Reuse of Material: Authors may reuse figures, tables, and excerpts from their articles in derivative works (e.g., textbooks, policy reports) without prior permission, provided attribution is given.
License Policy

- Derivative Works for Profit: Adaptations such as translations, compilations, or anthologies produced for commercial sale require prior written approval.
- Misrepresentation: Users must not falsely attribute endorsement or authorship to BJACR or its contributors.
